Reconnecting in Xiamen

The residency began at Xiamen University in China, where participants from the three OneMBA partner institutions — FGV (Brazil), Xiamen University (China), and TBS Education (France) — came together. These reunions reignited the cohort spirit established during the first residency, strengthening group bonds and fostering a dynamic atmosphere of collaboration.

The first part of the week combined academic courses in economics and data analysis with company visits to major players such as Xiamen Airlines, Schneider Electric, and Genius Electronic Optical — a company that produces around a quarter of the world’s smartphone cameras using cutting-edge automation and robotics technologies.

Technological and Cultural Immersion in South Korea

The second half of the residency took place in Seoul, at Korea University Business School (KUBS), where participants received a warm welcome and continued their exploration of Asia’s economic and technological landscape. The program included modules on artificial intelligence and data analytics, as well as visits to leading companies such as Naver Webtoon (a major digital platform for manga and animated content creators) and Amore Pacific, a global leader in cosmetics and skincare.

A Residency Focused on AI and Intercultural Exchange

A central theme ran through the entire residency: Artificial Intelligence, explored from academic, industrial, and cultural perspectives. Beyond the classroom and company visits, participants enjoyed deep cultural immersion, engaging with local students and discovering the richness of Chinese and Korean cultures through a variety of activities and experiences.

Next Stop: The Americas

Following this Asian chapter, the final residency of the OneMBA 2024–2026 program will take participants to Canada and Brazil. This last leg promises to be as inspiring and transformative as it is globally enriching, concluding their journey on a truly international note.
