Dr. Kaja Kroll, Professor of Leadership: Leading and Managing Global Organizations
Kaja Kroll is Professor of Leadership, Organizational Behavior and Negotiation for EGADE Business School. She holds a Doctorate of Management in Organizational Leadership from University of Phoenix School; a Global MBA from Thunderbird and ITESM; and a Bachelor in Business Administration from Berufsakademie Berlin, Germany. Kroll is also a certified Coach and Project Manager and she is co-author of the book Refractive Thinker, Vol. 4, Ethics, Leadership and Globalization.
Kaja Kroll has been working in senior manager and executive positions in the financial services and automotive industry in several countries including her current role as Chief Operating and Administrative Officer for HSBC Private Bank Mexico. Past positions included COO for BNP Paribas Personal Finance; Director IT, Risk, and Strategy, for Inbursa Bank; and Director for the Spanish Americas Contact Center for DaimlerChrysler Financial.
Dr. Eric Porras, Professor of Operations Management: Global Operations Management
Eric Porras received his PhD in Operations from Erasmus University Rotterdam, The Netherlands, and a Masters Degree in Economics from the same university. He earned his Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Mexico (UNAM). Currently he is the Research Director for the Trade and Logistics Innovation Center, a joint initiative between Tecnologico de Monterrey and Georgia Institute of Technology. This role involves leading projects with the industry and the government in the areas of supply chain management and logistics. He also teaches undergraduate courses in Industrial Engineering since 2005, and graduate courses in EGADE Business School since 2007. He has published in various international leading operations journals like the European Journal of Operations Research and the International Journal of Production Economics.
Dr. Luis García-Calderón: Strategy in a Global Environment
Dr. García-Calderón has been a professor for more than 25 years in ITESM, Universidad de Monterrey and UANL, in Mexico. He has also worked for many years in research and consulting for both private and public organizations. His research focuses on areas such as strategy, international competitiveness, organizational theory, strategic informatics, innovation and technology, case theory and complexity applied to organizations. Some of this research papers are: “Organizational Performance: A Model Based on Organizational Networks, Knowledge Transfer, and Information Technology”; “A PLS Model of Strategic Networks and Organizational Performance: Based on Environmental Turbulence, Information Technology, and Transaction Costs”; “Comptech: Designing the Future of SME’s Competitiveness.”
Dr. García-Calderón earned a PhD from ITESM and OWEN/Vanderbilt, an MBA and a Master in Science from ITESM and a bachelor degree in Physics and Mathematics Sciences also from ITESM.
Jorge Miguel Rocha González, Ph.D.
Jorge Rocha is currently Program Director for the PhD in Business Administration and professor of International Marketing and Organizational & Consumer Behavior at EGADE Business School. He holds a PhD and masters degree in Anthropological Studies at the University of Florida, USA and a BA in Human relations at Universidad de Monterrey, Mexico.
Alongside his ample experience as a professor in marketing areas he is also a consultant for various firms and is board member of the real estate conglomerate Internacional de Inversiones.
